Distrobox arriva alla versione 1.3: il modo più semplice e veloce per lanciare distro Linux dal terminale
I più smanettoni e amanti del mondo Linux conosceranno sicuramente Distrobox, il sistema open source che consente di avviare velocemente qualsiasi distribuzione Linux all'interno del terminale. Il popolare programma, sviluppato da un italiano, è stato ora aggiornato alla versione 1.3, portando una serie di miglioramenti.
Tra questi, lo sviluppatore e i suoi collaboratori citano
- nuovi strumenti e comandi
- supporto per container root
- aggiunta del supporto per le versioni di Linux più recenti
- migliorata integrazione con il sistema host
- altre modifiche, tra cui miglioramenti all'integrazione di openSUSE, una migliore integrazione/gestione del fuso orario e altro
Come si legge sulla pagina ufficiale del progetto, Distrobox "utilizza podman o docker per creare contenitori utilizzando la distribuzione Linux di propria scelta. Il contenitore creato sarà strettamente integrato con l'host, consentendo la condivisione della directory HOME dell'utente, l'archiviazione esterna, i dispositivi USB esterni, le app grafiche (X11/Wayland) e l'audio."
