Computex 2020 cancellato: appuntamento al 2021 (aggiornato)
Poteva sembrare una battuta, ma poiché non è certo un argomento leggero abbiamo voluto chiarire subito: il Computex 2020 è stato realmente spostato a fine settembre, per i motivi che sono sicuramente chiari a tutti. Oltre alle tantissime fiere già spostate o cancellate, questa diventa la seconda "vittima" nel mondo della tecnologia dopo l'MWC di febbraio.
La fiera che avrebbe dovuto tenersi a Taiwan (Taipei) a inizio giugno è stata quindi ufficialmente rimandata al 28-30 settembre di questo anno. L'organizzazione sembra fiduciosa quindi di riuscire a tenere regolarmente la sua fiera, facendo stime di un controllo dell'epidemia in Asia già da aprile, con un rallentamento in Europa e USA da giugno.
Vi terremo sicuramente aggiornati nel caso la situazione dovesse mutare nuovamente.
March 24, 2020, Taipei – Unfortunately, the world is affected by severe infectious pneumonia (COVID-19). As of today, more than 300,000 people have been diagnosed across 167 countries worldwide, impacting the economy, trade, transportation, convention, and tourism. COMPUTEX organizers, TAITRA President & CEO, Mr. Walter Yeh, and TCA Secretary General, Mr. Enoch Du jointly announce, for the health and safety of exhibitors and visitors, the effectiveness of the exhibition, and maintaining the COMPUTEX brand image, COMPUTEX scheduled for June 2-6 will be rescheduled to September.
To continue to service exhibitors and visitors around the world while taking into account the health and safety of all participants, COMPUTEX is rescheduled to September 28-30, at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 2 (TaiNEX 2) and will present 5G and communication, smart solutions, gaming, and InnoVEX (startups). According to McKinsey's latest epidemic report, the epidemic in China and East Asia will be controlled at the beginning of the second quarter, and the epidemic situation in Europe and the United States will slow down in June. TAITRA will enhance inviting global visitors to attend COMPUTEX in September through its 63 overseas offices.
For exhibitors who continue to support COMPUTEX, TAITRA will organize a COMPUTEX online exhibition on the Taiwantrade from June 2-6 and invite global buyers to participate in online procurement meetings. TAITRA will also invite exhibitors to conduct new product launches, as well as invite global ICT companies to share 5G, AIoT, and other smart technology applications through Webinar.
Il Computex 2020 è l'ennesima fiera a cadere vittima del COVID-19. Gli organizzatori hanno appena fatto sapere che il rinvio a settembre non sarà sufficiente, ed il Computex 2020 è definitivamente cancellato. COMPUTEX is Rescheduled to 2021
June 12, 2020, Taipei – The outbreak of pandemic Covid-19 has disturbed all major economic sectors of the whole world. Many countries have imposed travel restrictions to help curb the spread of Covid-19. COMPUTEX stakeholders, including international exhibitors, visitors and media, may not be able to join the show consequently. Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Taipei Computer Association (TCA), the organizers of COMPUTEX, therefore decided to reschedule COMPUTEX to 2021.
As of June 11, more than 7,350,000 people have been diagnosed across 187 countries worldwide, affecting the economy, trade, transportation, convention and tourism. With credit to Taiwan's government got a head start on smashing the virus, Taiwan has only 443 confirmed cases. Accordingly, how Taiwan makes efforts against Covid-19 has been reported by a lot of international medias, such as CNN, Bloomberg and so on.
COMPUTEX, as a leading global ICT exhibition, where leaders of world-renowned tech enterprises shared industry insights, hosted 1,685 exhibitors from 30 countries and attracted 42,495 visitors from 171 countries in its 2019 edition. COMPUTEX 2021 will take place from June 1 to 5 to continue its commitment of building global technology ecosystems.

- COMPUTEX Online Sourcing Meetings - 30 VIP buyers from 14 counties seized new business opportunities with Taiwanese suppliers on June 3.
- #InnoVEXOnlineDemo - Startups will showcase their new products and technologies via Taiwan Trade Show's YouTube channel on June 29.
- COMPUTEX Online 2D Exhibition. - The new online platform will be launched on September 28 to display and promote exhibitors' products and services.
